Yes, I am! I'm looking forward to meeting you to see if we would be a good fit to work together.
No, I do not. However, some insurance plans do accept superbills for reimbursement. Please ask me for more details.
I accept payments through Stripe, a secure payment processing system that is connected to Simple Practice. Stripe accepts most major credit cards including American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa and Apple Pay.
Simple Practice is a HIPPA compliant website that manages my appointments, invoices/payments, and confidential forms that I will be sending you by email.
A sliding scale is a type of fee structure therapists sometimes use to give people with fewer resources a lower fee. My goal is to make therapy accessible for everyone, so I offer sliding scale fees in select circumstances. Please ask me for more details.
A mental health therapist is responsible for getting a clear picture of each client's individual needs to understand what must be discussed during therapy. I see value in collaborating with clients to explore healing tactics that they find interesting. As a therapist, I like to pay special attention to what clients desire to do and can put their whole focus on.
I am sensitive to challenges during life transitions, including entering a new school, relationship, job, or becoming a parent. I am committed to using evidence-based therapies, drawing primarily from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help clients build the concrete skills they need to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and stay grounded in daily life.
I suggest seeing clients weekly when beginning services. I believe that building a therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist is vital, especially with children. We can collaborate on noting progress and change appointments to bi-weekly or monthly, as wanted.
I offer therapy sessions to clients across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults and families. I offer individuals, couples and family therapy and serve the LGBTQIA+ community.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and hold sessions in both languages.
A parent or legal guardian needs to be present during the first therapy session. For subsequent sessions, we will determine the best format for therapy for your child. I will often ask for ongoing collaboration with the family to enrich and further explain interventions discussed in the sessions.
Before our first appointment, each client is required to fill out a questionnaire about yourself. Your responses are confidential and will not be shared without your consent. I will send the questionnaire to you via a secure, HIPPA compliant website and it should only take 5 minutes.
